Smallvilles Michael Rosenbaum Gets Hair!
For the past six years since Smallville launched in October 2001, Michael Rosenbaum has distinctly established his stance on the television loop as the bald Lex Luthor. This year, supporters will get the chance to feast their eyes on a different Rosenbaum a Rosenbaum with hair!
Although Rosenbaum isnt naturally bald, its been a while since viewers have seen the 34-year old actor with hair. But in his new movie Kickin It Old Skool, which is scheduled for release today, April 27, Rosenbaum will be seen with hair, which he grew for nearly four weeks.
Apart from his minor makeover, another thing different is his character in the movie. Although the Smallville villain will still play a role wicked in nature, he will noticeably project a comedic tone as Kip Unger, the grade school nemesis of Justin Schumacher (Jamie Kennedy) who is about to marry Justins girlfriend, Jennifer Stone (Maria Menounos).
In addition to the mentioned actors, Kickin It Old Skool, which is directed by Harvey Glazer and written by Trace Slobotkin, will also feature Christopher McDonald as Marty Schumacher, Miguel A. Nez Jr. as Darnell Jackson, Aris Alvarado as Hector Jimenez, Bobby Lee as Aki Terasaki, Debra Jo Rupp as Sylvia Schumacher, Alan Ruck as Dr. Felgood, and Vivica A. Fox as Roxanne Jackson.
Rosenbaum is actually ecstatic about this particular movie, as it will gradually expose him further to the silver screen, which is where he would probably be headed after his stint on Smallville. Little by little, Rosenbaum is penetrating the movie world whether as an actor or as a director. The actor has already announced his departure from the science fiction series, hinting that season seven would be his last.
Simultaneously, fans can catch the bald Rosenbaum in the remaining three episodes of Smallville season 6 every Thursday at 8/7C on CW.
